"Dedicated to presenting works which deal with issues of belonging and the complexity of human relationships, National University of Singapore Dance Ensemble (NUS Dance Ensemble) brings you ObservAsian, a programme of original dance works which draw inspiration and energy from dances from Asia. In keeping with the Ensemble’s identity in Asian Contemporary Dance, the one-hour programme features original works by its Founder, Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer Zaini Mohammad Tahir, as well as works from its young and upcoming alumni choreographers.
A member of the NUS Centre For the Arts, NUS Dance Ensemble once again sets its sights beyond local shores and brings its unique dance form to new audiences in the region. Come and be enthralled by the Ensemble’s unique vocabulary which seamlessly weaves contemporary dance with an Asian spirit."
