Last July 20, contemporary dance enthusiasts and students of DLSU and CSB gathered inside the Teresa Yuchengco auditorium to witness Asian culture through Singaporean and Filipino dancers' pieces.

La Salle Dance Company-Contemporary performed "Kung Di Man", one of their pieces which shows Filipino culture at its best.

The St. Benilde Romancon Dance Company performed their pieces which have garnered awards and critical acclaim both here and abroad.

The National University of Singapore Dance Ensemble expressed their want to be seen beneath what they wear through their explosive dance routine.

The mentors of each dance company explained the concept behind their piece and ObservAsian: Peter Jr. of LSDC-Contemporary and Raiq Muhammad Husga of National University of Singapore Dance Ensemble with the choreographer of St. Benilde's Romancon Dance Company.

The cast of ObservAsian with their mentors/founders shine up on stage after the whole dance concert.

DLSU awards National University of Singapore and its choreographer for the success of ObservAsian and its goal to build stronger ties between Filipino and Singaporean culture.

Some questions were asked by the students to the choreographers and organizers about ObservAsian during the open forum. Art has been taken into an academic discourse, a very rare opportunity here in the Philippines. Thanks to the efforts of everyone behind this event.
