June 9, 2012...Another memorable event from Dance Pinoy has been staged - The Step Off: Kpop Challenge 2 at CAP Auditorium in Makati.
Once again, kpop cover groups battled it out on the dance floor, dancing to the tune of their most idolized Korean stars.
Everyone went through the scrutiny of six judges who are all respected experts in the field of arts:
1. Mrs. Margie Loo - Marketing Manager of her own shipping business
2. Paul Francisco - Dance Pinoy Talent and Training Head / M5G Head Choreographer
3. Hermes Gacutan - Dance Pinoy Team member / Baros Salon by Hermes owner
4. Reon Hernandez - It's Showtime contestant coordinator / Hip Hop Organization founder
5. Owen de Chavez - Sayawmagsikan Head Organizer
6. Kit Layog - government contractor / Barangay ni Juan producer
Also, the stage has been graced by several known talents in kpop as special performers:
1. Opening Number by Boys on Fire and back-up dancers for M5G debut
2. Second Performance by Yumi Lee
3. Third Performance by EXOdus
4. Fourth Performance by Nicole Anne
Kpop celebrities also graced the event as VIPs to party with the raving kpop community:
1. Dasuri Choi and Phoi Chat of HEAT
2. Yong Bae Jung of M Entertainment
Of course, everyone cheered for the much-awaited debut of Anna Park with the M5G survivors, Rica Cabusao and Alicia Bernal. The Mystical5Girls sang "Nareul Salanghae" (Do You Love Me?), a tri-lingual DJ-mixed song composed by Ralph Ugarte and written with Nica del Rosario of Filam Music Group.
Hosted by Jesie Barandino and Herna Estillore of OBRA Inc., the crowd went all excited as the TOP 5 has been announced:
