Zumba at Roxy Events

Zumba is a Latin-based, easy to follow, calorie burning, dance fitness party that is really "exercise in disguise". The difference between ballroom dancing and Zumba is that you dont need a partner or DI to begin or to keep going. The dance instructor, just like an aerobics class, will head the class in front. It is best to wear shoes that don't have running/forward traction (those which allow you to twist and turn freely will lower the risk of injury).

In other Latin countries, Zumba is a big thing. People can and do occupy full basketball courts and stadiums just for one class, being led by one teacher. In the Philippines, Zumba is gaining momentum as it is not a craze but a fitness movement meant to stay, with its formulation of trademark moves, innovative and ever-increasing list of commissioned tunes and beats.

Zumba is only taught by licensed individuals, such as those teaching at The Roxy, because the songs are copyrighted and the easy to follow steps can be learned on the spot by anyone, at any age. Those who teach its equivalent without the original music, are just teaching Latin Aerobics.

The Roxy Events on Tomas Morato has 52 Zumba classes a month! Try one or all of them! All its teachers are Licensed Zumba Instructors. There's one teacher for every class of the week.
