Thrill The World Philippines will celebrate its event at The Venice Piazza, McKinley Hills, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig on October 29, 2011. Event starts at 9am to 12am. Thrill times for world record attempt is 11am and 11pm. While waiting for these thrill times, an event program all throughout the day will unfold transforming everyone else back in the time of the glitzy jackets, glittery gloves and glamour of our one and only King of Pop!
Among of the programs which have been lined up for the day is the Thrill the World Challenge, which consists of two divisions: song and dance. Dress, sing and dance like MJ, rock even if the groove is dead and gone! Beat it up against other groups. Show off what you’ve got and be bad. Don’t stop until you get enough! Let’s get the blood on the dance floor!
General Contest Rules
Ø All participants must pre-register online to gireongalupo@gmail.com. On-site registration is not allowed.
Ø The 20 pesos minimal registration fee per member must be settled upon registration on the day of the event.
Ø There will be a 30-minute general assembly before the competition proper.
Ø Contestants of both song and dance competitions are required to join the world record attempt in both thrill times. Participants of the World-Record attempt are also allowed to join the competition.
Ø All costumes must be based on Michael Jackson or Zombie-related characters. Costumes must be suitable for all audiences. We are a family-friendly event with people of all ages. Please be courteous and be aware when choosing your costumes. TTW organizers reserves the right to request costume modifications should it become necessary or deem the costume ineligible.
General Guidelines
Ø Make a dance, impersonating Michael Jackson’s dance/moves & choreography, coming up with your own creative dance that symbolizes Michael Jackson
Ø Replica weapons relative to your costume must be inspected by TTW Security staff and peace bonded.
Ø All minors (17 years of age and under) are required to fill out the Minor Permission Form with a valid parent or legal guardian signature to permit admission to the contest. Participants 12 years or younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Ø All participants must initial the liability waiver and photo release section on the TTW Contest form to participate in the Contest.
Ø Please be mindful of all individuals, equipment, and the event space. No horse-play will be tolerated.
Ø It is the participant's responsibility to read and understand the contest rules and guidelines. When in doubt, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help.
Ø The contest is open to ATTENDEES of TTW only. Staff, Industry, Press, and Guests of Honor are disqualified from entering the contest.
Prizes
v Prizes will be awarded for Champion, 1st runner up, 2nd runner up, 3rd runner-up, and 4th runner-up in the Song Division. Only a Grand Prize Winner will be selected in the Dance Division. Audience Favorite and Most Spirited special awards will be given in both divisions and other prizes.
v Audience Favorite - The costume with the most applause/cheer from the audience.
v Most Spirited - The Participants most like MJs character including posing and performance.
DANCE COMPETITION (Group):
Rules:
1. Groups can dance to any MJ songs except Thriller.
2. Dance routine maximum is 2 minutes.
3. Groups must be composed of 10-20 members each.

SONG COMPETITION (Solo):
Rules:1. A performer can sing any MJ song.
2. Applicants must submit there entries for eliminations either in mp3 format or youtube link to ttwphillssongdance@gmail.com. Song samples must be up to 2 mins only. Deadline for eliminations is on Oct. 15, 2011 and final list of contestants will out on Oct. 16, 2011.
3. If a contest passes through the online elimination round, he or she must prepare a 2-minute song piece as well.
4. Final registration will be on the event itself, October 29, 2011, Saturday, 9 am. Look for Gireon or Yumei.
