K-pop has emerged in international heights, gaining recognition throughout the world. Its rapid spread has been coined by Chinese journalists as Hallyu. Here in the Philippines, k-pop has made its way through Koreanovelas. Even though the genre is not locally available to its dedicated audience, k-pop aficionados get access to these through cable TV or the internet.
Dancepinoy.com brings you the Step Off 2011: The K-pop Challenge, a dance competition on May 28, 2011, 3PM-8PM at the CAP Auditorium in Makati City. This is a follow up event to the first Step Off dance competition which was held last 2009 at the Centerstage in SM Mall of Asia in partnership with FAME Philippines.
Events can last for long hours and even days. Though audience come to watch and finish the whole show, their focus somewhat disappears in the middle of the show. To keep them glued in to the hype of the event, we need merchandisers like you who can liven up the corners of the venue and create endless choices of rare finds for our audience as your potential consumers.
We will be inviting all k-pop cosplayers and dancers in and out Manila. This will give you a unique opportunity to reach those performers as well as their all their supporters in their represented city, their affiliations, fellow groups, their parents, families and friends with your participation. If your k-pop themed shop has a product or service that targets these groups, it is an ideal opportunity!
IMPORTANT:
We are limiting the number of merchandisers to ten (10) only. There will be a production meeting together with the participants on May 15. Venue and time are to be announced. You will have to pay the participation fee in full on this day. Please confirm your participation on or before May 8, 2011.
