MECHANICS

  1. The competition is open to dance groups consisting of 4-16 members and may be made up of all males or females or a combination of males and females. Each participating group must represent a Kpop group. Thus, they will perform songs from one kpop group only
  2. If there will be ample time available, crews may be given the opportunity to practice (block) their routine to their music on the competition performance area (stage) at least once prior to the start of the Competition. The crew is responsible for coming to the practice round on time or it may be forfeited.
  3. Strictly no group hopping.
  4. Not to be selective with the performance order. A group who fails to appear on stage and request for another starting position will be deemed as a late start and receive a deduction.
  5. Preparation before the performance must be done on or before twenty (20) seconds. The group that demonstrates excessive introductions or arrangements for longer than the specified time will result to a deduction of their total score.
  6. The routine’s length is three (3) minutes. A grace period of ten (10) seconds plus or minus is allowed resulting in a minimum of two minutes and fifty seconds (2:50) and a maximum of three minutes and ten seconds (3:10). Timing begins with the first audible sound (includes cueing beep) and ends with the last audible sound.
  7. Any accompanying music must be provided at the check-in site with specific instructions in writing of cueing procedures. COMPACT DISC & MP3 from USB Flash Drives are the only media we will be able to play. We cannot accept MiniDisc, Cassette Tapes or any other formats.
