As you all know, we at Dance Pinoy put up events as well as collaborate with other event organizers. We go to different shows to take pictures and write articles. We update this website regularly, perform at different shows and also hold dance classes occasionally. Have you ever wondered if we get rich out of doing all these? NO.
But why do we keep doing this? Why would we get money out of our pockets just to run a show? Why would we plead and beg for sponsors to approve our budget. Why would we spend load in making sure a group message about a class or a contest reaches everyone? Even if there's no money involved, even if dancing is not financially stable, why do we keep promoting it? Why did we create a dance group which should specialize in multi-genres? Through all the issues, why are we still here?

We continue to promote events because we believe in all the possibilities it has to bring. You can meet a new member for your dance group there, meet a potential partner or affiliate or even your true love! It is only here in the Philippines that dancing and other kinds of art forms seem to be not a good source of income. In other countries though, there are even universities offering post graduate courses for dancing and the arts is fully appreciated as artists are well-respected.
Dancing is innate in Filipinos but we lack the support for the arts as we are of the 3rd world country. We have the talent, we just lack the opportunity. Many Filipino artists who have studied abroad strive to bring back to their home what they have learned but most of the time they forget getting to the grassroots level as their commercial value increases. They take advantage of that so they could earn back their expenses when they studied abroad.
Dancepinoy is here to help dance artists and groups at the grassroots level to achieve their full potential. We will continue to promote your events, no matter how small they may be. We will continue to promote your group as well, even if you are just starting out. Yes, we are in the media industry but you don't need to be somebody else before we put the spotlight on you and follow you like crazy. Come to us, and we will make sure that you get the exposure that you need through this e-magazine.
We continue to put up our own events as well, even though we don't really gain much from it because we believe in the Filipino talent...we believe in your talent. We know there is so much more you can bring out of yourselves through proper training and exposure. So whenever, we have events, show us what you've got! Be affiliated by Dance Pinoy!
