Last August 19 and 20 at the San Pedro Astrodome, ballroom dance professionals and enthusiasts came together for two nights of non-stop dancing. The days were packed with activities from morning until night.
On the first night (Milonga night), before the main program began, ballroom dance competitors and enthusiasts alike stepped onto the dance floor. Dance Instructors from Ballroom Arts Talents Management (BATMan) accompanied ladies in the audience who didn't have partners but wanted to dance.
The main event on the Milonga night started off with the performance of Align Dance Company with their winning jazz piece.
The Argentine Tango competitions ensued.
The tie breaker round for Folk Dance category followed.
The Hiphop Group Champion performed.
Then, the Ballroom Arts Talents Management team performed a culminating number for their completed Argentine workshop. After the performance, PPDSA gave each of the BATMan members certificates of particiption for the workshop.
On the opening of the final night, Calayan Dance Company, 2nd place (La Jota) and Quesinhiyaw Troupe, 1st place (Sayaw sa Bangko) performed for the Folk Honor Dances.
Argentine Tango Champions, Oscar Quilang, Jr. and Imelda Sarile, performed their winning piece once again.
Judges and other representatives from abroad were awarded with a plaque of appreciation and the main dance event started.
After all the dancers from each category have performed, awarding ensued.
