Last December 29, 2009 at the Forbest Bar and Grill in Malate, dancers and dance troupes gathered for a showdown of moves, fun and games. Of course, Dance Philippines Incorporated and DancePinoy Journalists were present to experience an event like no other.
Everyone got a free drink, d4l pins and keychain souvenirs upon payment of 160 php entrance fee. Before the program started at around 10 pm, everyone went chilling out on the couches at the second floor of the club. Posted on the archconnecting to the dancefloor are the aims of d4l.
Alas, the program started with a slideshow presentation of how Dance for Life Philippines has been throughout the year 2009.
The program was jampacked with a lot of fun and titilating games. The first was trip to Jerusalem with a twist. Boys formed a circle facing outwards, keeping a bottle between their legs. Girls move around as the music plays with straws on theri mouhs. Once the music stops the girls have to place the straws into the bottle.
The next game was Gay Krumping. A member from New System demonstrated how it is done then participants followed.
Then the very provocative male striptease ensued. Every piece of clothing taken off corresponds to a peso value.
Back to back intermission numbers were rendered by Jazz Exchange and New System.
On with the contest once again, six representatives were asked among each dance troupe. They will dance to the tune of Wonder Girls' Nobody but according to their own dance style. They will also be judged ala-ABS-CBN's Showtime.
The last contest was the Mr. and Ms. D4L, from all chapters of Dance for Life Philippines.
The event was concluded with an after-party nearing the break of dawn.
