SAYAW TAYO! Is the first ever Philippine Hip Hop Dance Convention. It aims to bring together under one roof the gurus and proponents of Hip Hop dance in the country. The event envisions to bring forth Hip Hop as an alternative dance form that young people can utilize to express their feelings and dreams.
The dance convention is a once day dance marathon involving many recognizable names in the Hip Hop community such as (officers of the Hip Hop Federation of the Philippines) Jungee Marcelo, Jason Zamora, Jon Jon Supan and Jay Mastah. It was held last May 23, 2009, 7am to 7pm at the Crossroads 77, Mother Ignacia Avenue Corner Scout Reyes, Quezon City.

As a dancer and member of the Flipendemic Kru, it is my pleasure to meet in person this great artists, whom we all knew, have shared countless contributions to the Philippine Hiphop Scene, Their passion and love in this field have brought us to another level which envisions us to be one of the greatest artists and dancers of hiphop.
The Federation aims to inculcate us the true value of hiphop and how can we relate and apply it as a Filipino, not only here but also abroad, to share, inspire and to believe that the Filipino can also be united in this field with the divine guidance of the almighty one.
The Convention is composed of 6 dance classes/workshops from the best choreographers in the Philippines – Eauj Corpuz, Joyce Cariaso, Jason Zamora, Prince Paltu-Ob, Von Asilo and Jay Mastah. Great performances from LSDC-Street, The Crew, Mnvrs, and Team Vibe plus the Hottest up-coming crews in town, Musiqality, Flipendemic Kru and Excess Baggage.
Many Styles, Forms and Techniques are introduced to the attendees which may help them enhance their skills more with proper executions and timing. It was a great and successful day for both the Federation and the "Workshoppers", Missing it would mean a LOT, for those who missed it, don't worry the Federation has many upcoming projects so let's just wait and visit their site frequently.
*The Hiphop Federation of the Philippines will bring the convention to Mindanao on Aug 28 and 29 at the Lim Ket Kai Attrium.
