This Maranao dance portrays a skilled dancer's reenactment of a part of the epic (darangan) story of Prince Lomna and the hardships he underwent like climbing mountains and fighting beasts just to be able to propose marriage. Every sway of the hips, smile and calculated step is meant to tell a story. The movements are aristocratic and the dance is characterized with intricate movements especially on the fingers.
