Jota Zapatilla is popularly known in the Ilocos Region. It is simplier than other jota dances. It is derived from zapatilla, a kind of footwear worn by young women of the Philippines during the Spanish colonization. The male dancer wears chinelas while the female dancer wears zapatilla.
