Engañosa is a festival dance from Catubig, Northern Samar. Its music and picturesque figures easily entice and attract the audience, hence the name engañosa. The dance is also called Pandangyado Mayor in some towns because it is danced the pandangyado way with the accompanying music is played in an iskala nga mayor (major key). The same music is used in another Samar folk dance--the Pag-aring from Basey, Samar.
