Costurera
Costurera is a courtship dance from Janiuay, Iloilo. It depicts a story of a barrio swain who comes to visit a young costurera (seamstress or needlewoman). He then proposes to the seamstress by way of a dance. He starts dancing as he comes in. At first, he gets ignored but he later fascinates her with his interesting steps and then she dances with him.
