Bien Prado
Bien Prado is a dance that shows the tendency of the old folks to adopt Spanish names for their dances to make them sound more glamorous. Bien Prado in English is 'good place'. It could also be that the name of this dance was named after a Señor Prado who was so kind and good (bien) to his townfolks. This lilty dance from Janiuay, Ilo-ilo is also called by another name: Limprado. In fact National Artist for Dance Francisca Reyes-Aquino discovered a version of this dance in Ilo-ilo and her informants call the same dance Limprado.
